School Visits 2014-5
Mrs Pickford’s and Mrs Boardley’s class heard the Glossop Festival Ensemble perform a series of pieces at St Luke’s Church. They joined children from St Luke’s Primary and Padfield Primary. The children also joined in with singing games and some improvisation activities.
Reception, Year 1 and 2 visited Canon Hall Farm in June. They fed the animals and watched a cow being milked. The highlight as seeing the new born piglets!
Mrs Cochrane’s and Mrs Boardley’s class took a trip to Eyam to discover more about the Plague. They presented their findings in an brilliantly prepared assembly for the school and parents.
MRs Kenyon’s class went to discover the horrors of the Slave Trade at Liverpool Museum, Albert Dock; the only museum on the world dedicated to the slave trade. The children were moved by the stories, presentations and artefacts telling the plight of the Africans forced into terrible conditions.
